

Homage at WOOD
Homage is a unique lounge located on the mezzanine floor of Wood Restaurant in Manchester. It is an intimate setting dedicated to fine cheese, wine, beer and cocktails.
Homage works with the best local artisan producers, foragers and craftsmen to bring unique taste experiences to its guests. The lounge has a maximum capacity of 16 and provides comfortable seating and tables for a relaxed and informal evening or afternoon.
The name Homage is a play on the French word “fromage” and celebrates the gift of cheese. Run by Michael Delaney, a professional sommelier, who introduces the cheese and wine with wit and verve, the menu at Homage is frequently changed to keep the offering fresh and seasonal.
For example, you could try a Brillat Savarin au Truffle, described by Delaney as a ‘sort of Viennetta’ paired with a young, semi-dry Riesling from the Mosel region. Or perhaps a Tunworth English camembert and Swiss L’Etivaz cheese paired with a Simpson’s Chardonnay and a Portuguese Casa Ferreirinha Quinta Da Leda 2017. The local favourite Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire cheese is routinely paired with a bold Casa Ferreirinha Quinta Da Leda 2017.
