Motley
Located on the ground floor of YOTEL on Manchester’s bustling Deansgate, Motley’s antipodean-style menu ticks all the modern boxes with its uncomplicated seasonal menu. The low-milage, local and homely offering is the brainchild of head chef Nacho Llinares whose style is described as “good for the soul”.
Motley’s on-street terrace area is perfect for a spot of people watching. While the restaurant interior is inspired by famous Mancunians – from Liam Gallagher to Emmeline Pankhurst. The dining, working and “hanging” space is adorned with eclectic objet, neon signage, and fabrics designed by award-winning local creative BOBO 1325.
The menu boasts a pleasing mix of dishes with vegetarian and vegan palettes catered to generously. Fish tacos and Korean fried cauliflower are small plate options, while a choice of lamb, veggies or pastrami are presented atop flatbreads to broaden the already wide appeal.
A generous wine list is punctuated with trendy organic offerings, but we recommend giving the cocktail menu a gander. Here you’ll find inspired slants on classics like the Burned Caramel Old Fashioned and a Negroni spiked with cherry bitters.
