Alvarium restaurant indoor seating manchester
Greater Manchester > Manchester > Manchester City Centre

Alvarium is a cocktail bar and vegan restaurant. The drinks aren’t all vegan (although they do stock some vegan wines) but the food is purely plant-powered.

You can choose from lighter options like sweet potato bon bon sandwich with chilli jam or heritage tomato curry flatbread as well as main dishes such as aubergine steak with chunky chips or parsley risotto.

Although Alvarium is a little tucked away, off the NQ’s most well-trodden paths, vegans, it is definitely worth seeking out. It has the feel of other bars in the area but food dedicated to herbivorous mindsets.

And the cocktails are a draw for everyone. Clarity in Cana is a good pick, all smoky and sour with its mix of mezcal, Malfy lemon gin, falernum and sugar. Vegans can ask the bartender and choose with care.

Who doesn’t love a well-made cocktail?
