Einstein Bier Haus
EuropeanIf it’s dancing, drinking and Deutschland-inspired plates of schnitzel and wurst you’re after, you’ve come to the right place. Described as a “day to night venue”, the two-storey Einstein Bier Haus serves up hearty food, great bier, on-screen sport and live music on buzzing Concert Square.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Einstein Bier Haus is quite a lively place to have your tea, but it’s perfect if you want to maximise drinking time while lining your stomach. German classics include bratwurst served with sauerkraut and mash or currywurst with chips. The Tyrol meatball dish is tomato pasta carb-heavy and the Berliner kebab comes with fries or hand-cut chips, or indeed chunky fried sweet potato for a bit extra. It goes without saying that there are burgers (named after Hamburg, right?), while sandwiches include the Reuben, with smoked beef brisket, pastrami and melted Monterey Jack cheese on toasted rye bread, and the chicken schnitzel, stuffed into a focaccia bun with red onions. The Munich chicken schnitzel main sees the breaded breast served with Bavarian sauce, mozzarella cheese, chips and salad; the Einstein Insane pops bite-size chicken nugget versions into a basket with chips and a sausage. Fish and chips, sirloin steak and king prawn spaghetti will see you right if you don’t fancy sampling German cuisine, and various sharing options the likes of nachos and loaded fries are available if you’d just prefer to graze with mates. If you’re recovering from a big Saturday night out, Einstein Bier Haus has cheap roast dinners, including all the trimmings and stuffing, and televised sport to stare at while you dig in.
