What really stands out about this lo-fi wine bar on the border between the Northern Quarter and Ancoats is the range of exclusive premium drinks available. There are six natural or low intervention wines and Prosecco on tap, as well as a bottled wine list seasonally selected in collaboration with acclaimed London wine bar and magazine, Noble Rot.
With the team behind Alphabet Brewery and PLY involved in the project, there are also 12 rotating beers from local and national breweries on tap, expect brews like a Beavertown Blood Orange IPA or a porter from Buxton brewery. There are also six tap cocktails including a white negroni and a transparent strawberry daiquiri. General Manager Daniel Smith, formerly of Kosmonaut and The Liars Club, has curated the cocktail menu to further enhance the range of drinks that are not currently available elsewhere in Manchester.
