Cibo Gran Cafe in Wilmslow takes the ladies who lunch concept and swaps it for ladies who brunch. And anyone else who wants poached eggs and smoked salmon in upscale Cheshire surroundings. Not too upscale though – it’s on Wilmslow’s main drag alongside The Works, phone shops and suchlike.

The menu is quite limited. If you want the full exclusive Italian experience, you need to go to another Cibo. There are a few classics such as fillet steak from the charcoal grill or healthy chicken salads but it’s brunch that Cibo Gran Cafe specialises in. Ideally accompanied by a glass of wine or a mimosa.

The brunch menu includes healthy options like egg white omelette with ham and asparagus, pure indulgence with truffle eggs or gelato-topped French toast, as well as classics that fall somewhere in the middle.

Because it’s more about coffee and croissants than late-night wining and dining, Cibo Gran Cafe is available after hours for glam private party hire.
