Two miles south of Stretford and three miles northeast of Altrincham you’ll find Sale; a welcoming town just a handful of tram stops from the city centre. Having recently had its Stanley Square refurbished, the area has become a bustling spot for food and drink, with independent shops, barbers and stylists joining the rows of sleek units that make up the town centre.
There’s still old-school pubs and charity shops but, nestled in between, there’s quaint cafes, cocktail bars and even a vegetarian restaurant by renowned TV chef, Simon Rimmer. Not forgetting the well-maintained Walkden Gardens and Worthington Park just a short stroll away, ideal for Sunday walks.
