If you’re not in the mood for the National Trust cafe at Dunham Massey, you have a locally-grown option here at The Dunham Barn. You can walk there in ten minutes or less from the house – and you’ll be rewarded with a rustic, independently-owned business serving homemade cakes, coffee, real ales and daytime staples such as sandwiches, soups and breakfasts, all done well.

They use local suppliers where they can; ales are from the Dunham Brewery Company over the road while ciders are made at Dunham Apple Barn, also in the village. Breads, bakes, eggs, meat and fish are all sourced from farms and businesses nearby.

In the summer, you can sit outside and children can run free around the garden and yard. In winter, the oak-beamed barn is at its cosiest with hot chocolates, home-made soups, and crusty sourdough toast keeping everyone happy and warm.
