Gusto Italian Liverpool
With views of the water and a menu that has something for pretty much everyone, Gusto Liverpool is a popular spot, day and night.
This mid-range chain describes its offering as ‘elegant Italian’ which is about right, with presentation and freshness a priority. It’s a strategy that usually translates into successful food. The menu ranges from simple sourdough pizzas and typical pasta dishes to the less predictable end of Italian dining, such as seared lemon and pepper tuna, and honey-glazed duck and balsamic.
If you want to indulge in pre or post-dinner cocktails, or classic Italian desserts, this is your place – both get enthusiastic reviews.
There is a decent range for vegetarians and vegans. It’s also well suited to families with a ‘build your own pizza station’ and a sensibly priced children’s menu.
