Boutique 56
Boutique 56 is ideal for group getaways and hen-dos. It has a mix of private rooms and full suites and certain rooms even have their own communal areas with a pop-up bar, fridge and sound bar, whilst others come equipped with a kitchenette.
Packages for parties and celebrations are available: everything from helium balloons to cocktail masterclasses to drinks in your room.
The hotel has a strong music ethos; OMD used to have a recording studio in the building and the hotel bar, Manoeuvres, is named after the legendary ’80s group. The soundtrack to the excellent cocktails served there isn’t just Enola Gay on repeat though; expect a mash-up of classic Ibiza and ’70s retro.
Décor is a slightly odd mix of luxe materials and leather upholstery combined with a bit of a dormitory feel. Having said that, as rooms packed out with loads of double beds go, they’re some of the better ones. Also, the location is spot-on and the facilities are good with a hot tub, baggage storage, 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a concierge service, Smart TVs and free wifi.
