Barry’s Liverpool
Like all the gyms in this US-born franchise, Barry’s Liverpool is known for challenging classes and workout studios that look and feel like a high-tempo club night.
In its trademark class space, The Red Room, the lights are low, the music is loud, and the instructors are shouting their encouragement through headset microphones. The workout itself is fast and uplifting, alternating treadmill sprints and inclines with weights and functional movement.
Barry’s claims you can burn up to 1000 calories in one class. We can’t corroborate that but we know from experience that you’ll come out with a huge exercise high. Spacious, luxurious changing rooms and a fuel bar serving recovery shakes add to the experience.
