Mother Marys
Mother Marys is an Irish bar with a big focus on live music. There are two stages plus an impressive new sound system – it’s as much a gig venue as it is a bar.
This love of music means Mother Marys is a popular choice for afterparties whenever there’s a big gig in town. Their Supersonic indie Thursdays are also a popular event.
As well as live music, there’s plenty of sports coverage too, including horse racing, rugby and Gaelic football as well as the usual Premier League action.
Food-wise, it’s all about the pizza with freebies during happy hour. Buy two drinks, get a pepperoni. It keeps the punters happy and (relatively) sober.
Unsurprisingly for Irish pubs and current fads, there’s an opportunity to split the G and get on the hall of fame. If you’re not interested in all that stout stuff, there’s a good selection of cocktails too.
