à bloc
à bloc is a neighbourhood cafe near Stamford Park in Altrincham. It serves good coffee and brunch dishes but it’s the doughnuts that have mythical status here. Don’t leave without one.
The menu tends towards the breakfast end of the brunch spectrum with avocado toast, French toast or plain old sourdough toast typical offerings. Other options include things like fish finger sandwiches and salt beef bagels.
The Colombian breakfast is a nice alternative to the full English – it’s made up of arepas stuffed with cheese and spring onions, eggs, roasted tomatoes, beans, avocado and ajo blanco.
As well as daytime offerings, there are regular themed supper clubs where you can kick back and enjoy natural wines alongside regional Italian specialities, vegan feasts, South Indian small plates and more.
