Arkle

Restaurant - Modern British

Arkle is the feather in Chester’s foodie cap. The three AA Rosette restaurant, located in the grand Chester Grosvenor Hotel, is the hautest of haute cuisine in the city. It offers five and seven-course tasting menus as well as wine flights from some of the finest cellars in the country. It appears in the Michelin Guide and has the AA Notable Wine Award.

Although there are no a la carte options, there are both vegetarian and vegan tasting menus available. Dishes are beautifully presented but taste even better, celebrating seasonal produce at its best with an artistry and technique that only comes from the most skilled chefs.

The menu changes regularly but typical dishes might involve sea trout, Yorkshire forced rhubarb, pine and white beetroot. Or pink fir potato, Jerusalem artichoke, Granny Smith and truffle.

Arkle is the perfect place for a special occasion and there’s a cosy, intimate feel. Despite it being part of a large hotel, it doesn’t feel at all like a hotel restaurant.
