El Capo

El Capo is home to authentic Mexican food and around 200 varieties of tequila. It’s small, but perfectly formed with Day of the Dead paraphernalia, colourful tiles and an inviting atmosphere.

The menu is an appetising selection of small plates, wings, massive burritos and soft shell tacos. Prepare for some BIG Mexican flavours – this is food with plenty of personality and flair.

Typical dishes include avocado tostada, oinky porky carnitas tacos and aye pappi burrito stuffed with steak, rice, sweet potato fries and peppers with plenty of chipotle. It’s a mighty meaty menu but you’ll find halloumi, roasted cauliflower and jackfruit options in amongst it if that’s how you prefer things.

Make sure you sample the tequila. It’s quality stuff, a world away from the caustic fuel of university drinking games.
