La Casa
A new addition to Astley’s dining options is classy Italian restaurant and bar La Casa.
With a menu that includes wood-fired pizza, pasta and grills, it meets all expectations, and exceeds them at times with fresh fish specials and some playful desserts, such as their millionaires chocolate bomb. Pour the hot caramel sauce over the chocolate coating, then watch it melt and release a centre of biscuit and popping candy.
Options like this make it popular with families (they have a sensibly priced children’s menu) and there is a private dining room for parties.
On the main restaurant floor, you’ll find booth seating plus tables with views of the open kitchen. There’s a good-sized (weather dependent) outdoor area for alfresco eating and drinking.
