Our Neighbourhood Bar

Our NeighBourhood Bar in Didsbury is perfectly placed for forays in to Manchester’s most popular suburb right next to the West Didsbury tram stop on Lapwing Lane.

Owner Grant Ashdown cut his teeth in the fashion industry, but moved in to pizza in 2017 when he opened the northern franchise of Margate’s GB Pizza Co. Keen to pursue his own vision for the space, Our Neighbourhood Bar was born in Early 2021.

The pizza oven still remains, serving classic pizzas using great British ingredients like artisan local butcher – Littlewoods’ ham and Bath Pig chorizo, and more than a handful of options for the veggies and vegans among us too. Once such example aptly named The Herbivore boasts a vegan mozzarella, meaning the cheese-less vegan pizza is a thing of the past.

The bar is decked out largely with vintage salvage items serving craft ales and cocktails, giving Our Neighbourhood Bar a cool speakeasy feel. And the outdoor terrace is pleasingly south-facing, allowing alfresco diners to enjoy Manchester’s wonderful but rare balmy summer evenings.
