Sud Pasta Ancoats
SUD Pasta is a must-visit restaurant in Manchester. Since opening their first pasta kitchen in 2015, they’ve taken the city and suburbs by storm.
With restaurants in Altrincham, Ancoats and now Sale, they’re a firm favourite amongst locals and visitors alike.
You’ll quickly realise SUD Pasta’s primary focus is its menu, which changes seasonally. Expect a good drinks menu too, including Primitivo on tap and some great House Spritzes.
They draw inspiration from their deep-rooted southern Italian heritage and their own creativity, and pledge to put their heart and soul onto each and every plate they serve.
They’ve built up an impressive repertoire of dishes, including the famous ‘House Sugo’ – Orecchiette with an eight-hour beef shin, pork shoulder and nduja ragu. Their small plates and starters are great too; do not miss out on these.
All three restaurants are busy places with open-plan sharing tables and an upbeat, friendly service style.
Booking in advance is advised to avoid disappointment.
SUD Pasta is highly recommended and features on our best restaurants list for Manchester and beyond.
By the way, SUD means South in Italian.
