Tast

Restaurant - Spanish

Catalan restaurant Tast brings the fiercely independent spirit of north-eastern Spain to your table courtesy head chef Paco Pérez – holder of six Michelin stars – and his passionate team, who now run seven acclaimed restaurants around the world.

Take a taste trip around Catalonia via a menu inspired by the region’s fields, mountains and sea, and using the finest authentic ingredients imported especially, including artisan cheeses and speciality charcuterie the likes of Iberian cured acorn ham. Bocadillos find their way into the bar snacks and on both bar and restaurant menus you’ll find tapas favourites such as croquetas, fried battered hake and patatas bravas, but also plenty of small plates with a twist, the likes of calamari served with a black squid ink mayo or tuna tartar with ponzu and egg yolk. Spanish standards like paella are replaced by Tast alternatives such as a picanto and cuttlefish rice platter for two, but perhaps Tast’s most iconic dish is the Duck’in Donut sweet and savoury small bite: a duck liver, chocolate and raspberry creation that first appeared in the Tast family’s famous Miramar restaurant on the Costa Brava.

There are house cocktails and mocktails for more sweetness, or save yourself for the sangria (red, white or Cava) or selection of Spanish-style gin and tonics, draft Estrella Damm direct from Barcelona, or a good choice of Catalan wines.
