Thai Spice
Thai Spice on Chorlton’s Beech Road is a small, super-friendly restaurant with a varied menu. As well as Thai favourites – Thai Spice does a mean red curry – there’s a good selection of wok-fried dishes such as the sweet and sour fun of phad priew wann, a vibrant jungle curry, and drunken noodles with enough chilli to slap your taste buds around a bit.
Chef’s specials add an extra dimension best suited to restaurant dining rather than the takeaway – tempura cod with a sweet, salty and hot sauce is a real treat. The tables are quite small and close together but there’s a warm atmosphere. Head there between 5pm-6.30pm for their good-value early bird offer.
