The Lime Tree Bollington
The Lime Tree Bollington is the sister restaurant of the acclaimed Lime Tree restaurant in Didsbury. It focuses on quality local British produce with much of the meat coming from the restaurant’s own farm in Macclesfield Forest, which specialises in rare breed pork and lamb as well as providing eggs and vegetables for the seasonal menu.
Typical dishes might include mac and cheese arancini with truffle aioli and smoked bacon crumb, Basque-style line-caught tuna steak with tomato and red pepper compote and patatas bravas, or slow-cooked shin of beef with mushrooms and pappardelle pasta.
It’s a restaurant and wine bar, so wine is an important part of The Lime Tree experience with a focus on terroir and small independent producers. Enjoy a bottle with your meal or buy a bottle or a case direct from the restaurant to enjoy at home.
There’s a canopied terrace which is perfect for an early evening drink or a sunny lunch. The restaurant is located in the heart of the Bollington Green conservation area so it’s full of character too. It’s converted from two Victorian shops with a big glass frontage which lets in the light.
