The Walled Gardens by Eddie Shepherd
The Walled Gardens is a unique plant-based culinary experience from award-winning chef Eddie Shepherd. It takes place in an open kitchen in his own home in Whalley Range – and only eight guests can dine each night, making it one of the most exclusive restaurants in the city.
Eddie’s modern vegan dishes are served in a tasting menu style, and they’re known for being both beautiful and bizarre. So much so that imaginative creations like his dandelion petal fruit pastilles and pine forest sorbet have bagged The Walled Garden a place on the Observer Food Monthly ‘20 of The UK’s Best Restaurants’ list.
Guests are served a bespoke cocktail on arrival and can bring their own drinks for the rest of the meal. (A wine pairing option is available from Salut Wines when pre-ordered).
The tasting menus run from Thursday to Sunday for three weekends out of the month. If you want a spot at Eddie’s table you’ll have to act fast; tickets are released four months in advance and can sell out very quickly.
