Thyme Out
A stalwart of the Didsbury cafe scene, Thyme Out has been going strong since 2006. Locals rave about the brunch menu which, despite fierce competition from the wealth of other independent eateries in the area, manages to stand out.
Highlights include the indulgent breakfast burrito (sausage, pancetta, avocado, scrambled egg, cheese, and potato hash – phew) and the Full Didsbury. There are some decent veggie options too, including their “Come’n avo go if you think you’re hard enough” with smashed avocado, feta cheese, chilli, garlic and lime oil.
Top quality, freshly made food is the focus here, with locally sourced ingredients and creativity aplenty.
Despite closing in mid-afternoon, they are a licensed premises, with a dangerous range of breakfast cocktails on offer along with beers, wines and spirits. For the more restrained among us, there is great coffee from Heart & Graft, and a wodge of cake if you can find room for it.
