Motel One St Peter’s Square
Motel One St Peter’s Square offers a huge comfy lounge area with a quirky design: a riot of tartan and Chesterfields. The bedrooms are more toned down but they are a very good size considering the price.
It is a brilliant location – walking distance from plenty of the city’s bars, restaurants and tourist attractions and handy for the tram for heading to Old Trafford, Emirates or Ancoats. For a short break in Manchester, it’s ideal.
Staff are helpful and there’s always someone on the front desk. Much better than DIY check-ins if you’re new to a city and want a few pointers. The secure luggage storage is also useful so you can make the most of your time in Manchester.
Beds are comfortable and the hotel has all the facilities you need for a short stay at a reasonable price. It’s not a luxury hangout but if you’re coming to explore Manchester, chances are you won’t be spending all day in your hotel room anyway.
Motel One is a reliable chain, making both booking and staying easy and fuss-free.
