Run the World MCR
Channelling Beyoncé with its name and empowering ethos, Run the World MCR is an inclusive, women-only running club based in Monton, Salford.
Founded by friends Becky and Lydia, it’s all about providing a supportive community where women can feel safe, confident and build friendships (while getting all the mood-boosting benefits of movement).
They meet every Tuesday at Monton Unitarian Church Hall and start running at 6.30pm. On summer evenings they favour off-road routes. In winter they stick to well-lit roads.
All levels of fitness are welcome; runners, joggers, and walkers, and no-one is ever left behind. It’s £2 pay as you go, or £6 a month. First run is free.
