107 Dining Room
As well as being located at 107 Telegraph Road, the number in 107 Dining Room’s name may well refer to the vastness that is the array of traditional British dishes plus plates showcasing a flair for international flavours on the super-value set menus of two or three courses.
No fewer than 20 main dishes are listed, including classics such as homemade steak and Guinness pie and a great British bacon chop “au poivre” or 8oz grass-fed 28-day aged Welsh fillet steak, sourced from across the River Dee and chargrilled to your liking. Starters include Bury black pudding, grilled and served with a mini rosti, and warm potted Morecambe Bay shrimps served with sourdough. From the water mains-wise, old favourites include the likes of beer-battered fish and chips, smoked haddock with asparagus, poached egg and hollandaise sauce, Highland smoked salmon potato cake with watercress crème fraîche, or seabass with Jersey royals and sage butter.
Taking inspiration and ingredients from further afield, think chicken and chorizo kebab with a soy and honey dip, crispy stir-fried duck on egg noodles, pork schnitzel and slaw, or slow-roasted BBQ baby back ribs. There are also plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options and a separate vegan menu.
Desserts won’t disappoint either, with plenty of puds to choose from. From cheesecake to cheeseboard, pretty much all the sticky toffees, Eton messes and chocolate fudges you could dream of run in between, if you still have space.
