Coda Vinyl
Music has always been in the blood of Coda Vinyl owner Neil McDonald. First as the guitarist with 90s Manchester band Puressence and now as a record store owner with two shops to his name: Vinyl Planet in Macclesfield, and as of spring 2025, Coda Vinyl in Glossop. Along with his partner Barbara, he’s created a place where you can browse, buy and sell new and secondhand vinyl from across the eras and genres.
The shop sells everything from jazz to rock and all points in between, with a mix of classic albums, new reissues, and rarities. If you’re a music fan building a vinyl collection, there is plenty in here to tempt you with punk, reggae, indie, prog rock, dance, alternative and pop all covered. They sell gift vouchers which make present-buying for an established collector a whole lot easier. And if you can’t make it to the store, have a look at their online shop on Discogs.
