The Brotherhood of Pursuits and Pastimes
The Brotherhood of Pursuits and Pastimes has a more grown-up look than most sports bars, all muted greens rather than shouty neon. But when it comes to atmosphere, it’s a great place to watch live events.
Food is casual but good value – think burgers, wings, wraps, hot dogs and cheese toasties. There’s a decent range of lager and cider with a few big name craft ale options too. The cocktail menu is better than average too.
It may look quite small but the big screens dotted around upstairs are only part of it. The subterranean bar is bigger and has the feel of a traditional pub. There’s a massive 90” screen showing Premier League and Championship matches as well as the Women’s Super League and European games. You can book out booths with their own smaller screen for almost any sporting event. Or hire one of the private areas which accommodate 15-20 people.
As well as football, you can watch F1, NFL, UFC, WWE and other sports both with and without abbreviations. If it’s televised, it will be on here.
Open: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun
