The Good Rebel
The Good Rebel is part of the first wave of bars that put Stockport on an upwards curve of cool. It’s a relaxed place with a low-key, casual atmosphere and a good reputation for cocktails.
Choose from a decent range of classics like margaritas and black russians as well as summery options such as the Jamaican daiquiri or the mango passion mojito.
What The Good Rebel does really well is the wide selection of non-alcoholic cocktails and lighter drinks like spritzes of which there are many. The Stockport gin spritz shows a strong local identity – kind of. You can pretty much add whatever flavours you want to it.
A large outdoor beer garden with a colourful graffiti mural is a big draw in the summer – especially in a town centre location where outdoor drinking is usually just a few pavement tables.
There’s no food. This is very much a drinking place with a good-time atmosphere.
