Twenty Twenty Two
Twenty Twenty Two is a Northern Quarter hangout with a difference. It has the metro tiles, basement decor and late night action typical of other bars in the area, but it also has table tennis and other games.
Some excellent cocktails make ping-pong even more fun, although possibly harder to play. There are also pool tables, darts, pinball, table football and interactive shuffleboard. Games are very good value. They’re priced in a way to make them a fun add-on to your night, not the be-all-and-end-all. Booking in advance is probably best.
There’s a sweaty club atmosphere that comes more from DJs and dancing than overdoing it at table tennis. It’s maybe lubricated by the beer pong though.
Thursdays sees the popular Beat the Bartender deal where you can win a round – a cheap night out if you’re nifty with a bat. If you’re less athletically gifted, you’ll have to make do with the usual happy hour offers.
