Baby E Coffee & Deli
Surprisingly inviting for a basement cafe-bar, Baby E Coffee & Deli is a tucked-away spot for brekkie, brunch or lunch in the Temple Building on Dale Street. In the evenings it turns into a private hire venue and is just the right size for birthday celebrations, baby showers, and the like.
In the daytime though it’s a place to stop by for freshly made, locally sourced scran. The menu has all the breakfast and brunch favourites such as a full English with Lakes back bacon and Stornaway black pudding, granola bowls, and smashed avocado on toast – crumbled feta, roquito pepper drops and chilli oil give the latter a lift.
Lunch adds a bunch of wraps and sandwiches to your options; the Club Stack comes recommended. You’ll also find homemade hearty soups and specials such as caesar pasta salad. Everything is available to takeaway, or stay and watch the world walk by through the pavement-level windows above.
