Thoughtfully Cafe
Independent coffee shop Thoughtfully Cafe is just a few minutes walk from Liverpool ONE but it feels like a world apart from the chainstore bustle and crowds.
Situated on Cleveland Square, its pavement tables and awning give it a Parisienne vibe as you approach. Step inside and you’re more on Scandi-chic territory. Thoughtfully Cafe was known as Cow & Co: a hip design store that served excellent coffee. Nowadays most of the space is devoted to the cafe side of the business, though you can still buy bags of artisan coffee and Thoughtfully’s branded tote bags.
The menu focuses on cakes, bakes, and pastries, plus savoury bready things like their hummus and halloumi on toast with sun dried tomatoes, sumac, and rocket. Daily-changing sweet treats, such as cruffins and pistachio croissants, are sourced from small local bakeries including Dumb Dough and The Butterholic. Other highlights are the home-made iced tea and the hot chocolates.
Thoughtfully Cafe is very much a cosy coffee-and-cake type place. Get a seat by the window for some quality daydreaming time.
