Bisous Bisous

Bisous Bisous is a French patisserie and café on Beech Road in Chorlton.

The cute pastel exterior makes it look a little like a macaron come to life. It serves beautiful breakfast pastries then croques-monsiuer and quiches for lunch. It’s all very French and yes, the sandwiches are served in baguettes. The Marais comes to Manchester.

The main draw here though are the dainty little cakes and patisseries. They are like little shiny jewels and almost as precious. From the salted caramel éclair to the lemon meringue religieuse, these sweet treats are works of art.

They won’t fill you up, but they will fill you with pleasure. And their delicacy means that you’re never too full for a strawberry and basil gateau.
