Boxpark Liverpool

Restaurant

It’s a transplant from that-there London but at least Boxpark Liverpool is full of local food names. This food hall meets events space is home to eight or so vendors including, at the time of writing, Rose Street Falafel (from the founders of Maray), Madre Burrito, Pukht, Yoki Social Table and Yumcha. There’s also Shake, Crazy Pedros, Simply Salt and Pepper and Stateside Grill. Choosing between them is not easy.

This is the first Boxpark to open outside of the capital, where there are four of them and counting, all following the same formula of street food plus good times. On a weekday, it’s a decent place to sit with a laptop and a better-than-average lunch. On weekends and evenings, it’s a lot livelier with a programme that mixes DJs and party nights with live sport, comedy, quizzes and fitness events. There’s also pool tables, shuffleboard, a private events space and a big outdoor terrace with loads of seats. You’ll find it in the Baltic Quarter in the redeveloped Cains Brewery site.

Boxpark Liverpool has a festive pop-up ice rink

IceBox

Christmas 2024 sees Boxpark Liverpool get all festive with IceBox, Liverpool’s destination ice rink.

Open from 22 November to 5 January, IceBox offers 45 minute skate sessions for families, groups, adults, students and anyone who wants to have a twirl on the ice.
