Chez Jules
Chez Jules is one of Chester’s must-visit restaurants, especially for fans of relaxed French cooking. The daily-changing menu offers simple bistro fare with dishes like French onion soup, tartiflette, beef bourguignon and steak with cafe de Paris butter. Think market-fresh ingredients shown off at their peak.
The wine list has a huge selection of mainly French wines with a good choice at the lower to middle end of the spectrum as well as Tuesday wine offers. There is also an excellent value prix fixe menu available from midday to 6pm.
Service is friendly and welcoming and there’s always a buzz at this old-school French restaurant, red chequered tablecloths and all.
