Awarded with a Michelin star in 2023, Heft is the brainchild of chef Kevin Tickle and his wife Nicola.
Kevin has a strong passion for the countryside and everything that comes with it; hunting, and fishing from a young age thanks to his rural childhood. He knows the area well, meaning he can spot good produce to include in Heft’s signature dishes and rotating sample menu.
Situated in a 17th century inn, Heft is homely and comfortable, bringing exceptional food to a traditional countryside setting. It has five guest rooms as well as a bar stocked with quality beers and carefully picked wines.
Open five days a week, visitors can enjoy set lunch and dinner menus with elevated British food including low and slow beef shin with allium and ramson, and venison tartare dressed in its own tallow, fennel and ramson dressing.
If you’re lucky enough to visit on a Sunday, you can dine on their good-value Sunday Service menu; an alternative to the typical roast and perfect for special occasions.
