The Waterside
The Waterside restaurant moved to its current location in the beautiful village of Monton in 2007 and has become a local favourite ever since. The restaurant’s motto is “Eat, Drink, Relax & Enjoy,” and this is exactly what customers do when they visit The Waterside. The restaurant offers a serene and tranquil location, set immediately upon the Bridgewater canal, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal.
The Waterside has a contemporary and comfortable feel, making the most of the original features of its period home. Customers can choose to dine inside, in the newly revamped Lighthouse Lounge, or outside in the beautiful garden area that seats up to 140 people.
Head Chef Mr. Gary Hewart leads the restaurant’s kitchen, and he is supported by skilled sous chefs Jordon Thacker and Andrew Bailey. The team sources fantastic ingredients from some of the best local suppliers, combines them carefully, and produces a menu that they are proud to put their name to.
The menu offers a wide selection of starters, lunchtime sandwiches and wraps. Homemade burgers, fish dishes, pasta dishes, and their ever-popular steaks are served to your liking. A dedicated dessert menu that includes their now-famous cheesecake offerings concludes the experience.
The Waterside is a family-friendly restaurant that welcomes children and dogs. Customers can stop by for a quick drink or enjoy a leisurely dining experience in the evening. The restaurant’s goal is to take the hassle out of dining, and they deliver to your table with pride.
