From the team that brought you 3 Hands Deli, Another Hand opened in February 2022 in the unit just next door. The casual dining restaurant brings brunch, lunch, and a relaxed dining experience to Deansgate Mews with a sleek new look.
There is quite some experience behind chefs Julian Pizer and Max Yorke – including time spent at Cottonopolis, The Edinburgh Castle and Hispi. This experience works on an ever-changing and seasonal menu that takes advantage of some of the best suppliers in the region. “A tribute to local suppliers” like Cinderwood and Platt Fields Market garden – the menu is a celebration of their produce. Meat is sourced from Littlewoods in Stockport and bread is supplied by Holy Grain Sourdough Bakery.
Breakfast is served from 10 am and alongside offering eggs cooked in any way you want them you could try homemade granola with local honey and Skyr yoghurt or wild mushrooms (supplied by local outfit Polyspore) on toast with hazelnuts and sherry. The legendary sandwiches from 3 Hands Deli are still on offer, with longstanding customers now able to sit to eat their lamb merguez and pickle or ham and Garstang blue toasties.
The evening menu changes by the day, but could include beef tartare with celeriac and cured egg yolk, rare breed pork chop with burnt apple or summer burrata with grilled peaches and tomatoes. Desserts are a delight, created with skill by pastry chef Sian Wilson. Treats like warm rye chocolate with speculoos, toasted white chocolate and frozen orange and honey peach parfait with magnolia really reflect the season. The wine list is a real celebration of of natural and biodynamic bottles, with cocktails expertly crafted by a talented front of house team.
