The summer holidays have landed. How’s your stress levels?
If, like us, you’re wondering how you’re going to keep your off-spring entertained and in good spirits for six long, school-less weeks, fear not. Our guide to family days out in Manchester is here to get you through to September.
Obviously you won’t want to head out on a family adventure every day (and in our experience, neither will the kids). One or two a week is enough to stop everyone going stir-crazy with boredom.
Here we’ve covered what’s on for kids in Manchester this summer at some of the city’s biggest attractions, focusing on the special stuff they’ve got planned for the school holidays.

What’s more, with beanbags and a soft, purring soundtrack, it’s relatively relaxing for a kids’ day out.

We’re including this as one our favourite free places to go in the city centre. It’s got loads of scary slides, plus ice cream, coffee, and toilets – all the essentials for an easy trip out. And it’s only five minutes walk from Piccadilly Station.
