Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa
Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa is in one of the most idyllic locations in the whole of the Lake District. The outdoor hydro pool and glass-fronted Finnish sauna look out across Derwentwater, Catbells and the jaws of Borrowdale; an iconic Lakeland scene you’ll want to gaze at all day.
As well as a fabulous spa – the best bits are those outdoor features – the hotel mixes high-end touches with country house comforts.
Choose from a range of suites looking out on to the fells and classic bedrooms styled with tactile textures and a muted palette with occasional pops of warm colour. The suites are recommended – they come with two hours of spa access included – but with the exception of the standard rooms many options are large enough to accommodate extra beds if required.
Food-wise there’s a sleek Pan-Asian restaurant serving up the healthier end of fine dining and a brasserie offering local cooking with a few Scandinavian influences. There’s also a champagne bar as part of the spa offering so you can enjoy a drink that lives up to the view.
