Kadampa Meditation Centre Manchester
Kadampa Meditation Centre Manchester, or KMC, is part of a network of centres which promote The New Kadampa Tradition; a school of Buddhism that aims to be accessible within modern-day living.
At this centre in Chorlton, they teach meditation and Buddhism, and they welcome anyone who wants to cultivate a sense of inner peace. (You don’t need to be a Buddhist to go there.)
They run meditation classes throughout the week, including a free session on Sundays. There’s also a vegetarian cafe, The World Peace Cafe, which is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Head there for wholesome, homemade food such as spinach and coconut dhal, and falafel and sweet chilli sandwiches.
KMC also run a weekly meditation class on Saturdays at the Friends’ Meeting House in the city centre, plus special events such as retreats and talks from Buddhist teachers.
