Corner HQ
Updated: 29 January 2026
This boxing gym next to Mayfield Park doubles as the headquarters of boxing tech company Corner, hence the name Corner HQ. While the IT developers tap away on their computers upstairs, the downstairs is devoted to the sport itself with a boxing ring, bags, strength equipment, and indoor and outdoor workout space, plus changing rooms.
The two sides of the business – the gym and the tech – come together in their boxing classes. Corner make wrist-worn performance trackers which show how hard and fast you’re punching on a leaderboard. It makes for an exhilarating session because it adds an element of competition to it, whether you’re trying to beat your classmates or your own PB.
As well the classes, they have sparring sessions (Saturdays) or you can just drop-in and workout on your own; open gym sessions take place six days a week. They also have an app full of on-demand workouts which work really well for individual training.
Corner HQ offers something for all levels of boxers, from total beginners wanting to learn the basics, up to professionals who want the detailed analytics from the trackers.
It’s a friendly, non-intimidating place, and well-worth seeking out if you’re looking for a place to learn, train, or get into top shape.
