RYDE Studios Manchester
Class-based gym RYDE Studios Manchester opened in Barton Arcade in March 2024, following the success of its original studio in Leeds.
You might know this spot as the former Circle Club (prepare for some terrifying flashbacks as you descend those stairs). Nowadays it’s home to a much healthier crowd of thrill-seekers – the kind who get high on exercise endorphins rather than anything illicit.
RYDE offers the kind of high-energy, immersive spin classes that feel more like a fairground ride than a workout. With carefully curated music, light shows, and charismatic instructors, it’s a fun and enthralling experience, which also burns some serious calories.
Changes in pace, themed sessions, strength rounds, and chill out rounds keep you engaged and ensure you’re working more than just your legs. Meanwhile over in the second studio, there are barre, yoga, HIIT and pilates classes.
The glossy reception area has a shake bar and lots of space for socialising; they hold regular events for their community with local, likeminded brands. The luxurious changing rooms and showers are a cut above too.
It’s good to see a Northern brand expanding into the city rather than the usual London to Manchester pipeline. If you like uplifting workouts that leave you feeling energised and happy, go and check it out.
