Kontrast Leeds

Kontrast Leeds is the city’s first sauna and ice bath cafe, bringing together community and wellness. This hip urban hangout offers a fresh take on hot and cold therapy.

There are three saunas. Two are traditional saunas (90-100°c), one silent and one social, and there is also an infrared sauna (40-60°c).

As well as the saunas, there are four ice baths. A solo 3°c ice bath for hardy types, two solo 7°c ice baths and a group 13°c ice plunge.

Move between hot and cold to ease muscle tension, release those endorphins and give yourself a mental reset. All sessions are either 45 or 90 minutes and water is free so you can keep yourself hydrated.

Kontrast Leeds opens from 6.30am during the week so it’s ideal for a refresh before work. There are hot and cold showers, hairdryers, private changing rooms and lockers – just bring your own padlock,

You’ll find a real sense of community at Kontrast with its cafe and chillout space a good way to meet new people. Great coffee too.

There’s a popular run club which concludes with an optional contrast therapy session and a craft club too. We love the Unwind sessions with local DJs playing downtempo and ambient beats while you hop in and out of the ice baths.
