Hello Oriental
There’s three floors of street food fun at Hello Oriental. A Chinese bakery and cafe is joined by Vietnamese restaurant Rice Paper Pho, an Asian-inspired Downtown Oriental food hall, and a supermarket stocking everything from frozen dim sum to sake.
Grab a coffee or tea and a fresh bake from the ground-floor café Hello Bakery where traditional Asian bakery classics are combined with modern fusion baked goods.
Take the stairs down past the mezzanine-dwelling Rice Paper Pho, and you’ll find the street food-focused dining hot spot Downtown Oriental and market Hello Oriental.
This one-stop shop stocks specially selected Asian fruit and vegetables, oodles of noodles, handpicked boozes, like Japanese whisky, and soft drinks. Against a DJ soundtrack, Downtown Oriental’s open kitchen churns out dim sum and bao buns, Chinese roasts and fried rice, taiyaki soft serve ice cream, and bubble teas.
Back at Rice Paper Pho, you’ll get a taste of Vietnam with guilt-free fast food. Choose from bowls of comforting pho, a mad selection of super-healthy summer rolls, and colour-popping Vietnamese salads. There’s also plenty on the vegan and gluten-free front, along with halal options – just ask.
And if you don’t fancy food, you can just rock up (or down) at the bar in the basement, where a wide range of Asian beers and cocktails are on the menu.
