Tre Ciccio Ramsbottom
Tre Ciccio’s Ramsbottom restaurant does much the same thing as Tre Ciccio in Altrincham – and that’s no bad thing.
The simple menu has the same focus on light, easily-digestible Neapolitan pizzas, plus slow-roasted chicken and potato platters, and some winning antipasti such as their rotolini – baked pizza bites stuffed with fior di latte cheese, tomato, basil and Italian cured ham.
And like the Altrincham restaurant, a substantial part of the setting is devoted to al fresco dining. Almost half the covers at Tre Ciccio Ramsbottom are on their large, all-weather terrace, making it a sound choice for Covid era eating-out.
Tre Ciccio is housed in the spot where Ramsons used to be on Market Place but their designers have very much made it their own. Exposed beams and brickwork give a rustic feel while dark floors and furniture and sparkling glassware add a sense of Italian style.
The Tre Ciccio team were inspired to create their own restaurant by a magical evening spent in a trattoria near Salerno in South West Italy. And while Ramsbottom is never going to compete with the rolling hills of Campania, they’ve managed to recreate some of that night’s warmth and charm here
