Lords of Middleton
Lords of Middleton was established way back in 1893, and is one of a handful of shops in Greater Manchester that are members of the Guild of Q Butchers – the gold standard for butchers in the UK.
Now in its fifth generation, Lords prides itself on selling “the finest quality meat you can buy, butchered to the highest standards, but sold at realistic Northern prices.” Head there for Macduff Dexter dry-aged steaks, Welsh lamb hotpots, award-winning chicken supreme, and home-made steak and stilton pies.
Much of Lords’ produce comes from small farms in the Scottish Borders and Lowlands. Whether you’re after a dry-aged six bone rib of beef, or a single homemade sausage roll, you’ll be delighted with the freshness and intensity of flavour.
Lords of Middleton was featured in Rick Stein’s Food Heroes, and in Clarissa Dickson-Wright’s book Sunday Roast. It’s known as one of Manchester’s best craft butchers
