Soho’s Liverpool
Soho’s is one of the original vintage clothing stores in Liverpool, and one of the biggest. With a hairdressers, a tattoo artist, and a piercing studio all stacked within the same building, it’s a bonafide emporium of alternative, retro style. It’s been around since the early eighties and in this spot on Bold Street since 2005.
Downstairs you’ll find Bull Vintage which specialises in Americana, and has a £10-for-every-item bargain basement. Upstairs is Soho’s proper where you’ll find vintage and antique clothing from the late fifties right up to Y2K. They have replica clothing from the fifties and forties too plus brand new clothes in retro styles (workwear, patterned shirts and so on).
Soho’s is known for its extensive collection of vintage Levi’s. In fact this whole place is excellent for Western style – if cowboy boots and hats are your thing, you’ll love it.
The architectural features in Soho’s are as unexpected as some of the clothes. The till is behind a church pulpit, there are floorboards from a Pontins dancefloor, and as you walk in, you pass an ancient, once-lost 30ft stone well.
