One of the newest additions to Liverpool’s vinyl scene is neighbourhood record store Dead Air Records on Suffolk Street. It’s a little bit off the main drag but is well worth seeking out for its affordable secondhand vinyl and friendly vibe.
If you’re trying to build up a record collection and are on a budget, this is a good place to shop – the stock is well-curated but reasonably-priced with plenty of options for around the £20 mark. Head here for classic (and niche) albums, graded for condition, from across all genres spanning from indie to jazz to metal. They stock some brand new records and rare finds – the 1991 first press of Screamadelica by Primal Scream for example.
Family-run and independent, it’s a pleasant place to browse and buy. Put it on your itinerary if you’ve got a vinyl shopping day planned.
