On The Waterfront
On The Waterfront is a four-day open air festival on Pier Head. It kickstarts the summer festival season in Liverpool, with the 2025 music party taking place from Thursday 19 June to Sunday 22 June.
It’s a popular festival in a stunning location – the River Mersey and the Three Graces are quite the backdrop. Get your tickets sooner rather later because this is one of Liverpool’s most popular events.
After a foray into comedy last year, 2025’s On The Waterfront is music all the way. Thursday is the indie disco day with The Wombats headlining supported by Pale Waves, Corella, Underpass and Keyside.
Friday is a good-old Irish knees-up with The Wolfe Tones performing their final ever gig on English soil after a series of stadium dates back in Ireland which sold out in just an hour. Be quick for this one.
Saturday is devoted to dance music with the ever popular Cream Classical Ibiza. The Kaleidoscope Orchestra will be joined by special guests Groove Armada and DJs announced include Todd Terry, Chicane and Danny Rampling. It’s going to be a party.
Sunday is a bit like the ‘legends’ slot at Glastonbury. The festival closes on 22 June with Sting and The Christians.
